Award-winning UK Black Pride – Europe’s largest not-for-profit event for...
Join us for an evening showcasing different expressions and histories of Black queer lives, followed by drinks and music. The evening includes fiction readings, poetry, and talks exploring current research on Black LGBTQ lives from the early twentieth century to contemporary Britain. The speakers explore themes including queer black poetry and theatre; letter writing, archives, and queer black lives; and teaching and learning about queer black lives through reading fiction. An event organised by The Equiano Centre, Department of Geography UCL, as part of the Spaces of Black Modernisms project funded by the AHRC.
