Chidinma - Kedike

Chidinma rose to stardom after winning the third season of the talent show "Project Fame West Africa" in 2010. She released the music video for the song "Kedike" in January and the track deservedly became a hit. The clip was directed by Clarence Peters and features fast rising singer, Dammy Krane, playing Chidinma's love interest.

Kae Sun - Blackstar Rising

"Blackstar Rising" is the tender opener on Kae Sun's 2013 album "Afriyie". The track’s music video, which was released in February 2014, features a group of child astronaut ‘trainees’ as they get ready for their imaginary lift-off into outer space. Kae explained that the track is "about possibility and liberating your inner child to always push yourself to dream and explore your dreams beyond what you think is possible". Songhoy Blues - Al Hassidi Terei

Songhoy Blues grew up with the varied influences of hip-hop, R&B, Jimi Hendrix and national Malian idols like Ali Farka Touré. Hailing from Gao, the group were displaced from their home due to the growing unrest of early 2012 and formed the project as a direct reaction to their situation. The Malian band got their 'break' when they met the producer Marc-Antoine Moreau, which led to them recording with Yeah Yeah Yeah's guitarist Nick Zinner for the Maison de Jeunes project.

Lauryn Hill Performed Her First Ever Concert in Ghana

Last month, Lauryn Hill performed a concert in Accra as part of the Afrobeats Big Festival. Ms. Hill had performed in Africa four times before her first ever Ghanaian show — at 2012’s Cape Town Jazz Festival, in Rwanda in 2010, Senegal in 2006, and Ethiopia in 2005. Eddy Kenzo - Be Happy

Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo released a new video earlier this month. "Be Happy" is a motivational song that encourages people to be happy regardless of what they're going through. The video was shot in South Africa by a renowned company Godfather Productions. It reportedly cost $16,000 - an equivalent of over 43 million Ugandan shillings.

Tiwa Savage - My Darlin'

In her latest video, the Nigerian star Tiwa Savage plays a woman looking back at her love story, including her wedding. The clip, directed by Kemi Adetiba, features actor and model Emmanuel Ikubese as Tiwa’s husband. The outfits were designed by Kunbi Oyelese. "My Darlin'" was produced by Don Jazzy and Baby Fresh and became a hit in Nigeria.
