Nigerian singer Yemi Alade took the Internet by storm earlier this year when her music video "Johnny" premiered online. Directed by Clarence Peters and starring actor/model Alexx Ekubo as the title Johnny, the clip became one of the most watched videos in Nigeria in 2014, having as of now amassed over 10 million YouTube views! The song is a massive hit across Africa and proved popular also in the UK.

Burna Boy - Don Gorgon

"Don Gorgon" is the latest music video by Nigerian singer Burna Boy. The clip was shot in South Africa.

Burna Boy, born as Damini Ogulu in 1991, released his first song in 2011. In 2013, he received the Nigeria Entertainment Award for Best New Act of the Year.

Oumou Sangaré - Djorolen

"Djorolen" is a song by Malian singer Oumou Sangaré from her 2003 album "Oumou". She embarked on a musical career in the early 1990s and has since been nominated for a Grammy Award. Sangaré is also an advocate for women's rights, and her songs, which she writes and composes herself, often include social criticism, especially concerning women's status in society.

This music video is part of a campaign launched by MultiChoice Africa, designed to inspire Africans to become involved in community-based social improvement projects. The Africa Rising project is supported by Channel O Africa, who brought together some of the finest voices and high-profile African artists into one song, to celebrate the greatness of Africa. The "Africa Rise Up" song was produced by Shizzi, and the star-studded video was filmed in Ghana by Call Back Dreams.
